When to Go

Year round. However, keep in mind that December is the rainy season there, and if you want to see the whales then you have to go between July and October.

Day 1

Depart from Cali at 6:30 am and arrive at Buenaventura at 9:00 am. Take the 10:00
boat to Bahia Malaga, Juanchaco, arrive at 11:00. Spend the rest of the day soaking up
the vibe and sun from your coastline hostel. Take a sunset boat ride and swim in the
Pacific as the sun begins to set. This is also a great opportunity to see different species
of storks and other sea birds.
